I have been locked out after 2 tries with my email address for 3 hours, no other options.

This is not a good policy. As the customer, locking me out from access like this is extremely inconvenient.
I don 't login often and this time period to access presently is quite important for me.

Please unlock my account I am happy to use my email as a validation scenario.

The multiple failed attempts you issued caused this.

 

We prefer to keep your account safe and then hear your complaints about our unacceptable policy, than having student accounts compromised.

 

The account is now unlocked
