I'm very glad, I also have to share that you should not underestimate the reporting part and most important use your brains. The exam is really fun, but you have to know that there will be hard parts - you will need to step back and see what you are missing, look at the whole picture. I was Support on Defensive Part - AV, Anti-spam, Proxies etc. on the Defensive part 7 years, Sys Admin - Linux, Windows and Vuln Tests - 3 years, Currently I am in Identity Management - information asset management&Pen-testing and Development of Identity Management Applications. Don't think of the certificates, but of the knowledge you gain this would be the most important tip, think about that and push your limits. The Certificate is just the bonus to the knowledge, but knowledge makes you the professional you really want to be.
