Anyone use INE Cyber Security Pass?

Recommended Posts

mr.daveau

I am recently eCPPT certified and am looking into the eCPTX. Since INE took over, eLearn's platform looks very different. I am wondering if anyone has experienced the new platform via INE with the $1999 annual Cyber Security Pass. They don't give very much information about the course. If anyone has used the new platform, I'd love to hear your experience with the new platform. Good and bad. If the course, lab, and certification process is similar, I'll sign up.

Is eCPTX course through INE straight forward and well-structured?

Do you have to pay an additional fee for the exam voucher after paying $1999?

Do vouchers have to be used within a certain period of time?

How is support?

it doesn't worth the payment trust me .. INE platform is really bad .. i have subscribed on it and I'm asking for refund now ..

1_ they don't have any forums to discuss the course materials.

2_ they have the worst support team that will answer you after ages.

3_ bad quality courses with bad solution explanation.

4_ most of the courses doesn't have any certifications.

i was studying eMAPT and i was stuck over there for ages with no response.

1. -> this is the forum, at least for now

2. -> Yes, sadly sometimes it takes a very long time. Too long for a $1999 premium fee, I agree. The fastest and most efficient way to get help is the unofficial discord channel, but you have to know the existence. If you have a problem, Lily can help you quickly.

3. -> some courses are brand new, some are older, some are really old... I do not agree that the courses are overall bad, maybe inconvenient compare to the cloud based vendors. Some cheaper companies provide you with a fixed and guaranteed working Linux instance. Here, you have to mess around with different Kali versions. It is inconvenient and annoying, but it is helpful for your career. As someone in cyber, you must have the ability to fix computer problems.

4 -> INE does not offer certifications. I agree it is super expensive to pay $1999 + $400 for a single cert.

I was thinking about if I should get it or not. A lot has changed with INE, I bought the premium pack, the highest they have. It is only 799 for a year.

I'm studying for the OSCP.  I heard the eLearningSecurity training had good material and covers some areas in more depth than the OSCP so I decided to try it.  I signed up for the $49 monthly training.  The first module did start out pretty deep with 90 slides.  The others since then have been between 2-7 for each topic.  The lab for each module isn't available for monthly or yearly subscribers.  Only premium.  You also can't download any of the slides or videos like you can with the OSCP training.  It said to check the Members area to download the course material but there isn't one.  That was left over from when eLearnSecurity did the training.  The support guy today said that INE purchased all of the eCPPT training from eLS.   I was in training today with a well known ex-SANS instructor that said the OSCP was much, much better.  I watched a Youtube video the other night with another well known security guy and he said that in his opinion if you studied and passed the eCPPT certification that you could pass the OSCP without any additional training.  He passed both.   He said eCPPT training went much more in depth on the actual hacking techniques that you need to pass the OSCP.  I don't know if it's worth it just to get the labs.

If someone has already gone through the labs in INE let me know if they're worth it.

Of course, your article is good enough, baccaratsite but I thought it would be much better to see professional photos and videos together.    There are articles and photos on these topics on my homepage, so please visit and share your opinions.
